Piaggio P.108

Going to get back on this one. We'll see how long it takes for me to lose interest again. :pp

Now for the canopies...

I didn't know the Italians had any 4 engined planes. :woohoo:

They didn't make very many Paul. I think only 40-50 of all types including transports. I first learned of this aircraft as a teen leafing through some books on WWII aircraft at a bookstore. The wing turrets was something I had never seen before and thought were very cool. When special hobby released this I had to have it.

I have been working pretty steady on this. The canopies were not nearly as bad as I had imagined they would be. Only one step on the underside to deal with.

I did some preshading and used Vallejo Medium Olive on the uppers and Nato Black on the underside. I will probably go over the panel lines with some straight black to highlight them a little more. I still have to paint out the Italian crosses on the rudder as well. Those came as decals but they won't match the Nato black on the rest of it so I'll paint them out.

Don't know why the two photos of the top side look so different in color. They photos were taken two seconds apart :idonno

Its moving forward Dave . Glad to see some progress on this .

I think your angle with the lighting is slightly different ( maybe ) and if you're using a point and shoot , it might have locked on a different part of your work . That can change a lot of things.

Cheers, Christian B)

Looking great Dave!

I agree with Christian, it is probably the lighting! I seem to get that a lot when taking pics!

:popcorn

That's wild, and to think we argue over which color is right when we can't even get a correct picture of the correct color.

Looking good Dave :popcorn

I love the Piaggio! Great Job so far. Looking Forward to your Progress. Are you going to use the C10B Camouflage?

Cheers

Alex
