Dang Terry, it looks freakin' real! What did you do to the seat to get the texture?

I coated it with liquid cement and pressed some cloth on it for about 30 seconds and then pulled it off. The texture was left behind.

Thanks!

Added more weathering and ammo racks.

I thought some cockpits were small but man! With that figure in place that's down right claustrophobic! :popcorn

That tank is really coming along nicely there Terry. I would have to agree in that it was probably operated by midgits. The guys in the photo look to have adequate room to do what they need to so I guess your figure is tending on the big side.

And those guys were probably 5' nothing and a 125lbs soaking wet. :rotf

Not far off the truth.

At the start of the war the British Army minimum height was 5'3" with the average being 5'6" tall and weight about 125 lbs. There were few recruits over 5'7" and they were often sent to the Artillery or Guards regiments . After enlistment, with the physical training and "3 squares", many men grew up to an additional 2" in height and added 15 lbs.

In late 1914, the British created "Bantam Battalions" for men between 4'10" and 5'3". These men were largely mining and industrial workers. Many of these men were later transferred to tunneling units and the Armoured Corps.

Dominion and US troops averaged 5'7" and 140lbs at enlistment. Canada also had a Bantam Battalion, the 143[sup]rd[/sup] Overseas Battalion.

Continental European troops height and weight averages were close to that of the British.

Cheers,
Rich
