"PATCHED UP PANTHER""UPDATE #11""THE END"

After waiting for all my stuff for this build to come in I'm now ready to enter the battle. I will be doing PzBefWg Panther Ausf. G with Friul tracks, Griffon photo etch, RB metal barrel, and some earlier road wheels to replace the kit wheels. Here is my photo evidence.

Re:TERRY'S "BERLIN DEFENDER"

oh coolomatic terry! B)

so you're going to replace the steelwheels with the rubberband wheels? or only the last station to depict one of the last M.A.N. panther?

I am going to replace them all. I like the rubber tires better.

Re:TERRY'S "BERLIN DEFENDER""GETTING STARTED"

Well it's time to get started. All I have worked on is upper and lower hulls and added the transmission housings. This is a older kit so the torsion bars are molded onto the hull so no rolling over the rubble. Right now I am stuck trying to decide what color scheme to use because I will want to do some painting behind the road wheels. I am leaning towards a olive green base, but I would like some advise. I have shown here some different schemes that I like, but would like to know which ok for early 1945 or just what you guys think is cool. Please let me know what you think.

Re:TERRY'S "BERLIN DEFENDER""GETTING STARTED"

They are all tasty, Terry! I think I like the 302 scheme very much. I also like this one.

The bottom one is very cool, like Pa Kettle said "Gonna have to build that one of these days." No matter which you choose, I'm sure it will be very coolish! B)

Re:TERRY'S "BERLIN DEFENDER""GETTING STARTED"

if your panther was produced after december 20th 1944 it has a green basepaint, if the panther was produced and painted before that date darkyellow!

whitewash would have been gone until april 1945!

to be more precise: it's vice versa! the last station with those panther was with steelwheel, the others with rubberband!
