Don West, of Greenville, GA, had himself a "Flight of Fancy" with his 1/72 Hughes HK-1 Hercules, done up in VPB-106 Livery. Lots of guns and blisters. I really enjoyed Don's Blue, er Spruce Goose! :drool

Due to circumstances that were in my control (I left the camera battery at home in the charger), Rhino handled the paparazzi duty this go. He just left this morning, headed for Blue Ridge, GA and then back to sunny Indianola. I'll post a couple of the photos and be first to tell you the outcome.

Rhino smote the raffle, winning a whopping 8 out of 27 tickets and Chris took home not only first place with his Macchi, but also got BEST AIRCRAFT!

Ok, Model Men! Here come the pictures!!
My travelling Companion, on the way to NC. Mike's Stone Cat, from his Momma's garden in IA. Great Listener, didn't gripe one time!

We begin with the Vendors. 90 Vendor table were sold for IPMS Atlanta's 3rd Model show. Lots of Airplane & Armor models. Some cars, Some Sci-Fi, and a smattering of Ships .......and a visible cow

I was kinda wondering about the gals behind the boxes and why they were grinnin' at the photographer like that. Someone getting in to vendor relations or something?

'Pup,
I am the Everyone Relations Emmissary form the Frosty North. Stephanie, on the left, and her sister Stacy, on the right, and I DID chat for quite a bit, then I mentioned they might be famous, if they'd smile for the camera!
My Plastic Surgeon Club scrub shirt sparked many a conversation with the Women-people in attendance, and there were quite a few. Many were model builders, even!

Mike, Chris & I tried valiantly to decide on what consolation prize we should bring back for you. :frantic
The Visible Cow was the popular choice! I fault myself for not purchasing said Prize before we departed. :smack

Did it REALLY all start, back in 1860?
