Wrong crowd maybe?

Don't know Bob . That's why I wish they gave feedback . Not that much difference in the way I finish 1/72 or 1/48 scale . :idonno

While the judges were going around I did think they were glossing over the subject matter they were not familiar with and spending a lot of time looking over the BF 109's :smack

Cheers, Christian B)

:frantic I'm working on the rest of the pict's. Phantom DID seem pleased, and deserved both Honors. I get it about the long drive. The Atlanta guys were shocked I drove 1,400 miles to come to their show! This was over-the-top for me, but I did have a very fine time. Iron Mike let me have a sob/sniff on his shoulder when I didn't win any awards. There were lots of nice models, but I can't agree with the 350-400 model estimate. :pilot

Due to circumstances that were in my control (I left the camera battery at home in the charger), Rhino handled the paparazzi duty this go. He just left this morning, headed for Blue Ridge, GA and then back to sunny Indianola. I'll post a couple of the photos and be first to tell you the outcome.

Here are our winners

Rhino smote the raffle, winning a whopping 8 out of 27 tickets and Chris took home not only first place with his Macchi, but also got BEST AIRCRAFT!

Well done, guys! There's way more photos and we had WAY too much fun! I'm sure when Rhino gets home, he'll post up the rest. :drinks

Congratulations Chris !...Well deserved!

Best regards!

Luiz

Thanks Luiz . :good:

I think it might be a while for Rhino's pictures . He'll probably be drooling over his winnings for a while :rotf

Or, posting them on Ebay :idonno

Funny, but nobody is talking about the Cuban restaurant . It sure was good :D

Cheers, Christian B)

A wee drop o' Americana we found on the way to the Cuban place for lunch.

The beak and eyes articulate, makes for a shorter wait at the red light. The Cuban restaurant was slammin', as usual and we forgot to take the bag of flan when we left. Needless to say, an about face was a requisite to retrieve it. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! :good:

Did Christian get to see the B29 this time? I think if you look the the rear view from that intersection you can see it. It's a gate guard at Dobbins.

no wait...think when y'all made that left turn you would have been heading toward it. Dang i'm sorry I couldn't go. :facepalm

Nope, didn't see any planes, did get to see some gardening up close and personal at the strip mall where the Cuban place is.

Ok, Model Men! Here come the pictures!!
My travelling Companion, on the way to NC. Mike's Stone Cat, from his Momma's garden in IA. Great Listener, didn't gripe one time!

Upon the Contestant tables, were lots of Car Models. I, myself have an abiding love for Funny Car Dragsters, but here ya go. Bill Johnston sez 350-400 Models, from 100 modelers. I thought his estimate as a bit optimistic.
Nifty little red Corvette

This was cool, but needed finishing. Underside of hood could have used some filling/paint.
