WIP Alan's Marder II D (Completed)

Tony lee

Master at Arms
Back with another long overdue unfinished model, the Marder II D by Alan.
The AM I bought to hopefully improve a not so impressive kit.

The model looked like this when shoved to the side of the bench a year ago

All the components have been gathered back up and i'm ready to get back to work on this build.

Hi Tony Lee
How lucky you are to have this ModelKit :woohoo: and sets the update. It is a ModelKit I'm looking for years, but unfortunately usual with suppliers from home, they are out of stock . As for your ModelKit, I like it and I'll follow your post closely !

Re: WIP Alan's Marder II D (Continued)

The tracks got the treatment and are ready to refit.
100_1217.jpg

SBS:
A good scrubbing with "Dawn" dish washing liquid first thing and rinsed good.
A dip in track black
A light coat of AK Interactive Track Wash
A light wash of W/N Burnt Sienna oil
A light wash of W/N Raw Umber Oil
The area where the road wheels ride was rubbed down with an art eraser pencil
The cleats were rubbed down with AK Interactive Dark Steel Pigment instead of using sand paper.

When I get them back on they'll get a dab of MIG's Russian Dust pigment.

Little chilly in the Ozarks but not bad. (y)

Re: WIP Alan's Marder II D (Continued)

Why can't all you folks live just next door????????

James if you got em smoke em. :ro:
I forgot to say I used "Dawn" dish washing liquid to clean them first.
I figure if it's great for washing sea birds it sure ain't going to hurt my Friuls. (y)

Thanks my friends
Tony lee :)
