wds's - Hotchkiss tank in 1/35 - Finished on base.

wds's - Hotchkiss tank by Bronco 1/35

Thanks Sherm! :dude
Thanks Dave! :drinks
Thanks Ian :D
Thanks Bob! (y)
Thanks Luiz! :good:

Some progress.

This what I have in mind. It will be my first stab at a diorama.
I made the base from scraps from the shop. Painted with rattle can spray paint.

The figures are from the Tamiya. The B1bis kit provided the commander. The driver and standing soldiers are from the French Armored Carrier UE kit.

I got a start on the tracks as well. I'll post when they are noteworthy.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,

Bill

Tic toc ………… (gotta’ get it done)

Well, I’ve been here too long and been watching you guys too much. I actually cut a bolt head off a scrap from the spares box and added detail to the turret. The way they had me install the gun in the turret was a little sloppy, so I glued it in place and covered the holes with the bolt heads.

The figures got some primer and a first pass on paint. The uniform color may be off, but I have seen everything from brown to green. This is a mix of “English uniform” and a little medium green. The [strike]driver[/strike] tank commander and the standing figure (not pointing) got new heads from the spares box.

I’m working on the tracks, …. I really am! :eek:hmy:

Thanks for looking,

Bill

Thanks Gator!
Thanks Sherm! ur too kind :notworthy

Maybe on-track, but behind schedule... :( :idonno

Tracks painted and installed. Fenders and top hull glued in place as well.
I have been working on the base too. (Probably to the detriment of getting the tank completed on time, arg…). So any way, …You get the idea. The situation is supposed to be at an intersection, and the foot soldiers are providing some direction/instructions. The figures will get moved off their bases and placed in front of the tank, The green painted base sections will get brushed with glue and have some static-grass or the like applied.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,

Bill

wds's - Hotchkiss tank by Bronco 1/35 - on tracks.

Thanks Bob.

I think with a couple of hours a day, I'll be able to pull it off.
I'll try to work on the tank to complete the deadline. The diorama is icing.
I think that I ended up procrastinating on those tracks. Live and learn.
Thanks for the kick in the rear.

Cheers,

Bill

Down to the wire.
I'm away from my work bench this weekend. Bad time to have a weekend getaway as far as this tank is concerned.Arg…
I might be able to wrap it up Monday and Tuesday. :idonno

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,

Bill
