This aircraft was repainted so a lot of the factory applied stencils were over-painted and never put back on.

Will leave for 24 hours to let the Future completely dry then flatcoat and lightly weather this one.

yes, I have to paint the starboard engine cowl support rod yet!

Revel/ICM BF-109 F4 Trop

Finished this one tonight.

BF 109 F4/Trop WN 8673 was handed over to 3. Staffel, JG 27 Summer 1942 after a long period of workshop level maintenance.
During this process it had been repainted with a non standard desert camouflage which affected the stencils and servicing markings - many of which were over painted.

The camo demarcation line ran along the lower fuselage and extended over the wing leading edges into the wing's lower surface.

Flown by Hauptmann Hans-Joachim Marseille Africa, September 1942.

Damage to white fuselage band was inflicted by a large rock during a take off.

Centre canopy piece needs a little sanded off it to fit better but will do that later and repaint it.

Thanks to Dave ( Chef ) for this kit and an extensive Pe set :drinks
