Rob Scratchmod Ferreira was at the Vallejo booth and was gracious enough to give us some demos and discussed the process with us.

He makes it look SO effortless and described things in very easy to understand way, Thanks again, Rob! :salute :drinks

That's about all to report, the show was well attended and it appeared all were having a blast. A big thank you to Mike Roof and the Wildcats for putting on a swell show. :notworthy :drinks

One more side note, we also got to meet Dr Mike. He is quite the character and we enjoyed talking with him about his products and also fishing.

I asked him about this knocked out stuff and he said he hadn't had time to do that sort of stuff lately. He did a great demo for us, really enjoyed talking to him.

Looks like a good time. Some fantastic builds.

And further proof I've got a long way to go before even considering putting a model in a competition. :rotf

Not that it really matters, as I build for the personal satisfaction & enjoyment. ;)

Really some incredible work there! Sorry I was not able to attend, but saving my 'shekels & rubels' for the show in Columbia in August!

Building for the fun of it is how we all started, don't lose that.

If you do decide to enter contests, AMPS is a great way to learn what others think of your models. AMPS judges enter feedback on the entry, no other association (ahem, IMPS et al) does so. To me, feedback is the only way to learn what you did wrong and get better. Keep cutting sprue and squirting paint. :good:
