Sherman 18
Master at Arms
I found a picture about a month ago, and thought "Hey I got to try a white topped A2." The kids got me this kit about four years ago for Christmas and I had started it, or at least assembled the suspension
This is the photo that is at fault!
USMC late M4A2, white topped turret with big red number
On this turret I added the missing cheek armor with styrene strip, then shaped it with a file and then with putty
I then added casting texture with my mix of Testors cement and 3M automotive spot putty. I then added some Archer casting symbols and numbers
plugged the headlight and siren guard holes with strip styrene, and added cast texture
I also did some plate texture to the flat panels of the upper hull. To do this I smeared on Testors cement in about an inch square spot and then keep moving the brush around on it until it gets sticky, then move to another spot. I let it sit over night and then sand with 400 grit wet/dry sand paper.
I then started to add the upper hull welds with strip styrene
