Completely agree. The original was no slouch, but the remake was outstanding. Launched a lot of careers, most notably Stan Winston. (the dog effects). From that to T-Rexes.
Every Ken Burns film is narrated by Keith David, so while hearing about The War, etc, I always think 'fire's got the temperature up all over camp'. Dumdump. Dumdump.
