    E-Type jag, Scale = big.

(Like Captain Jack Sparrow) "Each model maker must decide what a Man can do, and what Man cannot do, Savvy? Do you invest this much time, research and talent to a vintage, quite challenging Jaguar model kit, after astounding your mates, and take the Big Baastaad to the finish, eh? P'raps not...

That is my early Cummins-powered 1/350 USCG 41-foot utility boat. I sent it for you to have fun with. Reference pictures. :hmm: This late Caterpillar-powered 41 UTB is the gate guardian at USCG Station Destin Island, Florida. Howaztt?!

Mark and Donna are enjoying the hospitality of the curators of the Pearl Harbor Museums. Since Mark is a big wheel at the Wisconasin Maritime Museum, lots of perks have come their way. Free Battleship tickets, banana smoothies at the Dole plantation. The tropical spring climate seems to agree...

I like the Dornier in particular. What "Sheriff" Nate may be too shy to tell you is that he is the longest suffering President of the IPMS-PTSD Plastic Surgeons, ever. He also is the most prolific 1/72 scale airplane modeler I know. His skill with natural metal finishes rivals that of Frank...

    Mighty Mo, BB-63

A picture of USS Missouri taken at her Pearl Harbor berth taken 30 April 2024. In the foreground is Donna Karolus. The teak deck looks like it hasn't seen a holystone in quite a while. Your slightly smaller BB-63 is coming along nicely indeed!!

    E-Type jag, Scale = big.

One of the original tooling's sins, to be sure. That will frustrate a guy. :vmad: Does Humbrol Clearfix fill gaps like that?

1/350 US Coast Guard Reliance class Cutter TLAR Models #723

Ha! The sacrificial paper template isn't new or secret. He does a lot more fiberglass laminating, welding and soldering than I do. This was the technique Francisco would have used on his 110, but he wanted to start with a block of basswood, rather than foam. That, and his cool cutter floats...

Even if you defrost the balky, prototype POS? Neptune 4 or Saturn 5 then? James knows. Cheer up, Buddy. You learn lots more from failure that you do from success.
