Well done on the figure, Ron. Way more intricate than mine.

    Watch your Figure Completion

Thanks, guys; I certainly appreciate your comments. I'm going to try another figure, and have the Ultracast 1/35 jeep driver sitting on the bench. He'll be an exercise in trying to improve detail and skin tones. I think I've been figure hooked.

    Heer Tanker

I don't usually say to much, Andy, but I'm definitely studying your figure posts. Trying to understand your skin toning ways so I can better my own newly found appreciation of figure modelling. Your work is a pleasure to see. Well done! :thumbsup

    Watch your Figure Completion

My first figure, done to current artistic talent. Which means its just barely passable. I mean to study the work of others and learn. Turns out, I really like figures.

Cool Air Flyer - 1/48 Scale

Hi, Moon. Actually, I'm not sure I can make any more mess of the face. When you get in close, it looks like pizza: However, if you observe the two foot rule, it don't look to bad: For my first figure, I'm not unhappy. Just don't know what else I can do

    RCAF 2015 CF188 Demo Aircraft

I was able to get photo's of the 2014 and 2012 offerings, only because the local airshow is every 2yrs. Hopefully, I'll be able to travel this year to photograph this beautiful bird again. Thanks for the heads-up, Rich :thumbsup

Cool Air Flyer - 1/48 Scale

Thanks for the kind replies, guy's. Actually, I threw on a little artist's oils. Not washes, but, in dry brush style. This was done three days ago, without a protective coat on the enamels. Going to give the oil the rest of the weekend to cure. Then I'll attach the head, and brush on light...

1/16 Trumpeter WWII Soviet Tank Crew Vol. 2

Hi Jeeves I just wanted to say that your figure is coming along great. Its not my place to say how to do eyes. I'm working on my first, small 1/48 figure, and small looks more normal with the eyes left alone. I can tell you my impression on your figure's eye's, though. They look a-little large...

Cool Air Flyer - 1/48 Scale

I realize that the same type of pics get boring; just wanted to show my wash and touch-up progress. This is about the outside limit of my current artistic capacity, and I fear attempting any more color will head this fellow into the bin. Now, its question period? Should I protect his...

Cool Air Flyer - 1/48 Scale

Thanks for noticing, guys. I know this photo looks similar to the others, but, it does show how I tried to straighten out the primary colors. I'm satisfied now, and will leave it cure for a week while I try to come up with a plan for the next step. I tried to take the best photo I could...

Cool Air Flyer - 1/48 Scale

Main colors are on. All Humbrol enamels: leathers are various mixes of Humbrol 62; also used khaki drill, gold, and a lightened and less pink mix of Humbrol flesh. Scarf is slate grey. This is my first figure, however, I do have limited excitement that I can add some life with careful...
