Maybe so, but if I cannot afford to go because of lodging expense, it'll be hard to go to those places anyway. At least in Columbus I can stay rent-free and enjoy some good home-cooked meals, thus saving on food expenses as well. I barely make ends meet as it is. I'm hoping and praying for several large, high-paying jobs this year that will make me the money to go in the first place.
 
Ok I've decided to go to Eagle Quest at the last minute ... I have a ticket waiting at the door ... So I'll see ya'll there tomorrow.

I'll be taking my Fried Fish truck ... So I need to hit the bench for some last minute additions ...

Oh and Jeff & Family came by the Shop ... So I know they'll be there ... Along with Mr. T ...

I worked on my model A bit more ... Made a Butane Tank ... I used a old Marker pen ...

Worked on the coke box ... magnetized so she won't fall off ... the cook was put in place with gator grip

An old Modeler's Alliance member, John Bowery ,won best of show at Eagles Quest, the Big Eagle, which puts him in the Master's Class along with our own Terry, (Mr. T.), who won it last year!

...and it was a fantastic figure! Only the second time in the history of the event that a figure has taken the "Eagle". Well Done!

Outstanding John! So how come he's no longer as member here, if it's not wrong to ask?

Also, I'd love to see pics. I highly doubt I'll ever get to go to this, just as I'll never be able to attend an AMPS Nationals, so I am looking forward to living vicariously through you guys.

He is still a member in good standing, just slow internet from the last I heard. Don't think they have high speed and this website is not low speed friendly.
