So whilst I'm still waiting ( :bang head ) for those parcels to arrive so I can finish the P-47 project, I grabbed a 'quick build' project off the shelf at lunchtime yesterday.

Yep the Airfix Series 3 Super Mystere, guessing it was in the catalogue around 1972 - I bought this off a well-known on-line auction site around six years ago, the price on the end plate is written in felt-tip... £0.74p !!. It was advertised as complete but started, but all that was done was the tub had been glued together and the bays for the airbrake had been sprayed chromate yellow.

So from cracking the box to building, to primer then PSR was less than two hours yesterday afternoon. Think this is what could be termed a 'therapy build' !

Sweet!!! Man I wish I could get such a smooth metallic coat on my models! Wow! Sensational job man!

The decals are from a Modeldecal sheet released around 1978, and yes they worked perfectly. Richerd Ward absolutely knew what he was doing way back then. A true pioneer in our hobby.

Ian,
Great work.
Maybe that is what I need to do, something straight from the wrapper, nothing added, nothing from the spares.
