I guess what gets me about this technique is it's kinda backwards, the rusted worn down areas are painted last. What would be the top layers in real life are painted first.

The use of the powder causes the reversal.

I don't know never tried it.

Most likely it will.I might going to try this with pigments on my Stug III...if I will find the time for it that is.
