I am going to build her underwater launching a Poseidon missile. Now I need to find a photo of the missile leaving the tube.

Progress from my lunch break.

That lovely gap Dragon likes to leave.

Thank you guys. Today's lunchtime progress report is ready. I got the mounting holes for the base filled. Planes are on the sail and the prop is on. The kit prop was only 4 bladed. I substituted a prop from another kit.

I am going to show the missile firing from the sub but I need some ideas. SLBMs are propelled by a gas mixture through the water and then the rocket motor takes over once the missile exits the water. I am looking for a way to model the gaseous bubble trail like this...

:eek:hmy: Nice start Kenny!! This'll be interesting ta :popcorn :popcorn
As for the "gaseous bubbles", [just thinking outloud here] but, cotton balls or wool?

I was thinking the same as Ed (scary thought!). Cotton balls would work; maybe dusted with some powdery mixture to represent the many tiny bubbles instead of the threads that would look more like smoke. In a blue-tinted clear box, it just might look good enough.

Sub is looking good. I like it.

Brought this back out today. Working the flat spots on the hull. I got a little carried away with the initial sanding.
