Great day yesterday with my wife. We were late showing up due to a traffic snarl on the #1 Hwy but we made it just in time to see this bird take to the air. This one was one of the main reasons I wanted to go to the show this year. didn't have my camera ready so this is from the airshow's web page.

Next up was the Flying Heritage Collection from down at Paine Field.

The other reason I wanted to go was the F-35. There was one from the Netherlands on static display and another one flying with the Heritage flight.

A very dirty bird (the plane, not the guy in front ;) ). Is there a story behind this James? (I didn't take the time to read the placard)

And no Canadian airshow would be complete without the Snowbirds

I guess I didn't realize the gun is in the nose like that, thought it was on one of the sides like the F 15 and F16.

Great pictures, what's the twin flying with the Heritage flight?

I'm surprised they didnt wash it before sending it. Looks like he's been on the range doing gunnery training. Nasty stuff to try and clean off. Yep the guns in the nose Bob. Otherwise looks like an ordinary 410 bird.
James

I hope that you stayed away from that Cub with the bike, Dave. We wouldn't want you breaking anything else. :rotf

Hell Dave you cant even stay on a bike when your on mother earth you really want to take that chance you better be packing a parachute :geek

Thanks for the pics

Val-Halla (P-51D) & The Proud American (A-1 Skyraider) are from the Heritage Flight Museum based @ the Skagit Regional Airport.

The B-25 & P-51B I believe are from the Flying Heritage Museum out of Paine Field.

So confusing...especially when the 2 museums frequently attend events together.

I heard about the show last minute...but unfortunately I was working last weekend. Glad you had a good time once you got there. :drinks
