Antique Bikes On Main, Chesnee, SC 2017

Iron Mike

Master At Arms And Resident Curmudgeon
This morning, we went over to Chesnee, South Carolina for the annual Antique Bikes On Main show. It was a beautiful morning, compared to the sweltering July we've had and we were not disappointed by the turnout. I took a few shots of some of the better stuff and we got to be first to watch the Wall Of Death Thrill Show!

As we worked our way out of the grounds, the crowd had thinned around the Thrill Show Pavilion.

My bride is trying to figure out how to send video from Facebook Live to Youtube, when that happens, I'll link the Thrill Show. It was a HOOT and a half!

Thanks for coming by!

Neat stuff! The Norton and the Ducati really did it for me. I never got to ride a "Duck" But a pal who owned a hard-to-start Norton Commando and a Italian Moto-Guzzi. The Norton was ratty but fast. The 'Guzzi' had it's engine in a longitudinal crankshaft orientation where the engines' transverse cylinder heads project prominently on either side of the motorcycle. so it was short, but pulled a little to the right all the time, due to crankshaft direction

Hi Mike . Interesting how only two people on this website have any interest about Bikes. :idonno

Thank you for spending all that time taking the pix and posting them (y)

Lots of nice Iron here . Their bad for not looking

Cheers, Christian B)

I think more than 2 have an interest in bikes, it just takes us a little while to find the thread :)
Have to agree the Norton is a looker but anyone who knows will tell you parallel twins vibrate like out of balance spin driers :)
the first Harley pictures are of interest to me as i just bought this for the next winter project.

I also bought the BMW outfit while its available again but given the first thing i like to do is replace the thick plastic wheel spokes with thin steel....the BMW has 4 wheels with the spare !!
