IPMS West Central Missouri Model Contest.

Plastic Surgeons Rodney (prez.) George (treasurer) Chris (Micro-Model Maniac) Joe Lotz (Guest Cherman) and Aimee (Webmistress) attended the IPMS West Central Missouri Chapter's 2016 show,in Liberty, MO. last weekend. 69 entrants presented 366 models for the judges consideration. The Raffle was good. The hospitality was the best I'd enjoyed in Missouri in a long time. The lighting wasn't great, but adequate. All the vendor tables were sold, and piled with with lots of classic kits, resin bits, decal sheets, and sugar beets. Tools and airbrushes a-plenty, to sock it to your credit cards!!

George had never enjoyed the hearty fare at a Waffle House before. Fixed that!! :yipee
And now! MOdels!! I didn't take pictures of everything, I try but I just go plain old blind after a bit.
Mr. T was there, in person, even!

An Homage to a relative you died in the crash of his B-24H, at Halesworth, England in WWII. The relative in question is the modeled Flight Engineer, between the pilot and co-pilot. My camera wouldn't pick him out as well my eyeballs did. :( :salute

I have always had a fondness for Half-Tracks, and jeeps with lots of gun on 'em. The Rat Patrol may have damaged my brain when I was little. :drool

Keep'm coming Chris, I think you're right, that Fort does look like it's standing too tall.

The entry form calls this S-Boat a "1/35 Italeri S-100 Schnellboot" :facepalm :bat . I would have liked to see that model! I hunted to find the E-Boat in the picture too. No joy. This is obviously the Revell Ag. 1/72 S-100 Schnellboat kit. Everything was awesome, but the Crew figures need more finesse.

I LIKE these Orc Bombers!! (Note the "Waffen Rock" perfectly modeled below the Orc attack ships? FUNNY flawless model!!) Out-of-Box, Juniors, and Miscellaneous categories seemed mixed together.

No to say anyone is right or wrong but just for comparison.
You might also realize than a bomber full of gas and bombs sits differently than an empty bird...

I base my opinion on a Fortress I've actually put my hands on. No armor. No ordinance or weapons. No self sealing tanks. No Crew, and who knows how much fuel. See?!? :pilot

One of our Team was shy about having any Arrival Celebration pictures taken, on account of his standing with his employer. This gives you some idea about how the obligatory Room Test is conducted! :rotf
