Thanks for posting, my best mate is over there just for the show, he's going to send me all of his shots aswell. Have to say that 'Death Rattlers' F-4B looks incredible.

Ian.

I looked for you guys but never spotted you. I would like to hear some comments on the show in general, I was at the last one here and it seemed to me there were a lot more models in the model room then. They also need to put the models in a room with better lighting, I felt like I should have brought my own light source.

We've seen that complaint often, especially the IPMS shows. You'd think they would do something about it after hearing about it.

So Gary you getting your shots up? :popcorn

Sorry Mark and I did not meet up with you Old Dog. :(

Bob.....................The lighting at the Columbus show sucked back in 2009. :bang head It has not gotten any better.

I will be posting more pix this afternoon.

I had my camera with me but it never left my pocket. Michael Benolkin of Cybermodeler.com has posted a photo of virtually every model in the model room and they are probably better than anything could have done, as dark as it was they all would have required flash with the camera I had with me

Here's a link, hope they don't mind.

Chad did you show anything, how did Mark do with the Saturn V?

You're welcome Bob. I entered my Hippo team mecha. No win for that. If I remember correctly,Mark won in three entries. But I can't remember which ones. :(

I'm finally back and able to post.

I met up with Chad, but never found anyone else, at least from the Alliance. I'm on the left with "the Duke" on my shirt.

We went around, checking things out and had a great time.

I took two Third Place awards: One in OOB Small Scale Softskins and one in Small Scale Tracked Vehicles, Post Korean War. The one in Post Korean War was expected as I was only up against one two other contestants. It was for the 1/72 scale Russian TOS-1 MRLS:

The other Third Place winner in OOB Small Scale Softskins was a complete and total surprise. I was up against at least 12 other contestants and the model I placed int hat category was the one that was most broken up by the trip. I had to take it back home and effectively rebuild it. I never expected that to even be considered.

My other Third Place winner: 1/72 scale SS-21 Topol Nuclear Missile Launcher:

I have a tone of other pics that I took as well; I just need to get them uploaded to my Photobucket account and post a link here. Hopefully tomorrow.

Chad is was awesome meeting up with you. I had a great time.

Hey Mark, good Bowling Shirt, not a MA Bowling shirt but still. (y)

Good wins, nice plaque to go with your others.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it. Those wins were really something considering the number of entries overall in that convention. I still consider it quite the miracle that I got the one.

MP, I haven't the money for an Alliance shirt. The one I'm wearing is from my club and they were very kind in honoring me with that shirt as a gift for aggressively promoting my club (in particular) and IPMS (in general). I love the logo on the back; our previous President's wife posed for it.

Chad: Legend?! :blink I think you may have me confused with someone else... :idonno

Moon Pupppy: Okay, I'll try to get a pic ...

Here's a picture of our website's banner. The logo with the pinup girl riding the Exacto torpedo to the left of the title is embroidered on the back of my shirt in living color.

There was one other person at the Nationals who wore that shirt and he is a great friend of mine. If you saw either shirt, you would have found me.

My apologies; I'm still trying to get my pics from the Nationals uploaded. We've been experiencing spotty connection lately. Must be all those people updating to Windows 10. :facepalm
