Now I realise that this isn't going to 'move-the-world' in terms of modelling releases, in fact there's not too many folks outside Europe or South America who'll know too much about these aircraft let-alone seen them...
...but as an unapologetic/unreformed 'What If' modeller, this is fantastic news. So many possibilities of straight-out What If schemes, that I'm going to pre-order a brace of these and build one straight away. If y'all are interested, I'll even do it as a review build here.

AFN, see you after the weekend.

Looks like a very capable weapon platform. Don't these aircraft have some rough field abilities like the Tornado?

You my be confusing your types, Bob. The AMX does have a (quite) limited rough field performance, the Tonka (Tornado) wasn't designed for 'off roading', in fact 80% of the time it needs reheat/afterburner to get off the ground. The real 'rough field' specialist was the SEPECAT Jaguar.

Been thinking about who, in the What If world would use the AMX... Strangely New Zealand is quite high on the list !!

Yep with you on the Taiwan AF, Dave. I'm thinking of nations that need to replace or supplement F-5E's, L39's, MiG 21's, A-7's & Mirage F1's. SAAF would be perfect wouldn't you say ;)
