John Malcolm Thorpe Fleming "Mad Jack" Churchill fought throughout WW2 with his longbow, bagpipes and Scottish broadsword. As a Captain commanding a Rifle Company of the Manchester Regiment, he recorded what is thought to be the last kill in action with a longbow when his unit ambushed a German patrol in France in 1940. He retired from the British Army in 1959 as a Lt Col with DSO & Bar and MC & Bar.

Wow, excellent back story to that. Can't wait to see pic's of the finished bust. Might have to think about getting one.

Wasn't sure what to think of his sword until I did some reading. Apparently "Scottish Broadsword" can refer to either the typical Claymore (which is what I think of when I hear someone say "Scottish Broadsword") or to the Basket Hilt Broadsword which is what the figure has.

I have to say I've been impressed with their offerings so far.

Dang I love history, never heard of the man. Reading about him now, he's a Man's Man wasn't he?

I seee the Claymor and I see the longbow BUT WHERE IS HIS BAGPIPE? :smack

Lovely figure of an original figure
