New Gaspatch stuff

For my WNW kits I have been using a couple of companies items to spruce them up. For the guns I have been using Master Barrels brass rather than trying to roll the PE. For a Salmson and a Nieuport I have I got the new Gaspatch machine guns. Well they now have the Spandau 08/15s used on pretty well everything German. I've ordered a couple for my Fokkers and if you want an easy addition you might want to check them out. Bob this would look good on your Fokker E.I.

HOLY :woohoo:
I can see the Taurus stuff looks to be white metal but gaspatch what are they made off

Thanks for the posts James! The Taurus stuff looks neat! Had not heard of them till just recently. :hmmm

I have bought some of the older Gas Patch turnbuckles for a WW1 plane I have. They were metal and seemed a bit on the rough side though quite useable. Have not seen the actual parts on amy of their more recent stuff. The 3D computer art they publish looks real nice, but the proof in the pudding is how do the actual parts look.

The Gaspatch stuff is plastic I think. If I had to guess I would say they 3D print it. Maybe its resin. And of course their turnbuckles are grown metal as far as I know. The turnbuckles do look a bit rough, but in use they look good. I found the 1/48 turnbuckles look better on 1/32 than the 1/32 turnbuckles. I use cyano on it. I have a couple of Vickers guns and a Lewis and they are phenomenal. Definitely look better than the plastic kit parts. The Taurus stuff is resin. Customer service from both is awesome.

Yeah the metal turnbuckle parts are 3D printing in metal. I visited with them a while back about the finish o those parts and they said that they then sand blast them. I have a suspicion that if they converted to a vibrating type jewelry tumbler with a fine burnishing type media it would improve the finish on those tiny metal parts a great deal.

Thanks on that suggestion for the 1/48th size turnbuckles, I will have to look into that.

Thanks James, just what I need :bang head

I can echo the CS from Taurus rocks! I got two engines in route right now with some extra parts that I fubared on the first engine.
