This is Revells 1/72nd VIIIc. Great kit. Built OOB. Gary

Very nice, really like those insulators on the antenna lines (I think that's what they are). Great touches all around.

Very nice (y) A German U boat with a Belgian inscription? Intriguing .

Cheers, Christian B)

That is the U-69 boat. It was the first U-boot type VII of the "C" variety, launched in 1940, lost in 1943.

The sub carried two emblems on the conning tower, one with the three flags and the word "Horrido", and also the "La vache qui rit" logo, from the famous French cheese. As the story goes, when Prien's U-47 got its' emblem, the snorting bull (the sub that made the daring attack on Scapa Flow, sinking HMS Royal Oak), all subs in the 7th flotilla under Prien's command adopted the snorting bull. However, U-69's new first officer, never seeing the bull before, decided to go for the laughing cow. Metzler, the commander, decided to keep it, as it made everyone had a laugh.

That is a very nice build. I am doing the same sub now.
