Converting 1/150 Heller Corsair to a 1/35 Sailboat

I have the Master Box German and U.S. Paratroopers figures set that comes with 2 bathing women. i decide that the two women are going to be bathing in a sheltered area of a small lake. They needed a small boat to get them there. Enter the old 1/150 scale Heller Corsair ship kit (aka La Tartane) which I bought a long time ago to use as a rowboat or sailboat.

Here's the boxart of the Corsair.

Here are the contents of the kit.

I assembled the deck and then cut down the hull sides.

That female figure is a modified Tamiya U.S. Vietnam mortar kit figure.

Next I cut out an area for a cockpit and added some thin Evergreen Plastic strips to represent ribs.

I then framed the opening of the cockpit with Evergreen Plastic strips.

Here it is with the deck dry-fitted into the hull.

Next I added a section where the mast goes through the deck.

Here's the boat with the deck again dry-fitted to the hull and with the mast temporarily in place..

A bit closer with a view from a lower angle.

Thanks for looking. Comments welcomed.

Cheers
