Dont forget that throughout this build campaign if you need to ask questions or advice at any time please feel free !

I am always here to help as are any other of the entrants

I shall be trying to do a face paint SBS incorporated into my build ( something that Ive been promosing MA for along time but never got round to it )
So I thought this would be the perfect oppertunity

Less than 2 weeks to go :D :D :D

what kind of paint do you use? acrylics or oil?, i suck on painting faces and i'm not so comfortable with oils, so an acrylic sbs would be great :)

I don't do figures though I have a couple of dozen left over from kits- i hear alot of guys talking about Vallejo (?) paints? Get that right? have seen these at one of our locals, not that expensive. I should shut up and practice! lol

I think for the first figure I do it will be the pilot from the Tamiya Mustang.

I'm going to try this one.

Nice Nice Nice James (y)

Pilot sounds good to me Bob, what scale is it by the way ?

Yes Vallejos and Andrea`s are the paints that I exclusively use and will do the SBS` in those

However I do want to try face shading in oils I can get the highlights done ok but the shading around the cheekbones lets me down somewhat

Jump right in there Krypto you never know you just might enjoy it :)

Dont forget Giovanni has his masterclass section and theres an awesome face SBS that hes produced that may be beneficial for you to watch
even though you may not want to paint in oils it does give you some good basics on painting the face in its intial stages :)

Wow James! thats a very nice one! looking forward to see when you start building :)
Andy, i have many of the vallejo paints but no andrea, i will see if they have it here in the LHS.

Did you ask Giovanni if he's going to join us? How about Dad?

The pilot is 1:32 scale. Nice looking fellow, I call him a pilot, it's clearly an officer standing next to the plane so I guess he's a pilot.

1/32 will work? I have a few that are larger. Does it have to be a historical or real life figure? I can add a couple just for laughs, seriously I don't do m-ANY figures so I have a nice pile in the misc. box and I could use the medal.haha.

Right guys, I've a question, I've started this figure tonight, can we count this in or I need to start a new one just for you (which I'll do anyway)???
